Jean François Tanda
Jean François Tanda is a jurist and an award-winning journalist. As a legal counsel he has been working for the legal services of SRF (public Swiss radio and television), the professional journalists’ association “Impressum” (as central secretary), as an assistant to Prof. em. Peter Gauch at the Chair of Civil And Commercial Law of the University of Fribourg.
In journalism, his work has led him from writing investigative reports to working as a business editor for Swiss and foreign media including SRF (CH), The Economist (UK), Handelszeitung (CH), SonntagsZeitung (CH), Facta Magazine (JPN), and Die Welt (GER).
Today, he advises and supports legal service providers, financial market players, start-ups, non-profit organisations from the sports business and in journalism, among others. His services include litigation PR, media and public relations, communications, and open source intelligence .
Jean François holds a law degree (lic. iur.) from the University of Fribourg and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in International Business Law (with distinction) from The City Law School, University of London, UK. He completed a Diploma of Advanced Studies in General Management (MLP-HSG) and a CAS in Negotiation Skills (CGN-HSG) at the Executive School of Management, Technology and Law of the University of St. Gallen. He also holds a postgraduate diploma in journalism from the Swiss School of Journalism MAZ.
